Wat raden opperspaarvarkens aan? Voor en nadelen van te converteren?

Through this corporate action you have the option to convert your shares into registered shares.
If you hold your shares in registered form for two years, you will be entitled to receive a bonus dividend of max
10% on top of the regular dividend from the third year onwards.
Furthermore, you will be invited directly by the company to the general shareholders’ meetings and receive
regular news and results from them.
As soon as you are entitled to the bonus dividend, your shares in the portfolio will be converted into ‘prime de
fidelity shares.
It is important to know that if you have your shares converted, they will no longer be tradable.
If you wish to sell your position, the shares will first have to be deregistered again.
An administrative fee of EUR 10 applies for this.
To have your shares deregistered, you must contact our customer service.
Naturally, the right to the bonus dividend also expires as soon as your shares have been converted back into
tradable shares.
If you wish to convert your shares, you can enter your choice in the selection ticket.
Once your choice has been submitted, your shares will be blocked from trading.
You have the option to change or cancel your choice up to and including the deadline.
After the deadline this is no longer possible.

Dag Jan,
Ik heb dit in 2023 op mijn 2 rekeningen bij zowel Bolero als Leleux gedaan. Voordeel is dus dat je (een beetje) extra dividend hebt.
Nadeel is dat ze niet meteen verhandelbaar zijn, ze volgen wel de Engie koers uiteraard maar je kan ze niet meteen via de app van je broker verkopen. Bijkomend nadeel van Leleux waar ik de rekening wil opzeggen is dat ze er nu niet in slagen die te transfereren naar Bolero.
Conclusie : als je Engie als een waarde ziet die je voor lange termijn wil vasthouden doen ! Anders rekening houden met feit dat minder flexibel is dan een normaal Engie aandeel.

Wat is de motivatie van Engie om registratie van hun aandelen aan te moedigen?
Ik zou denken dat dit zelfs meer werk oplevert voor Engie daar ze nu de individuele geregistreerde aandeelhouders op de hoogte moeten houden, uitnodigen voor AV enz…
Is het zelfs wettig geregistreerde aandelen meer dividend uit te betalen dan niet geregistreerde aandelen?

Pascal, bedankt voor je antwoord vandaag in de spamalot.
Mijn conclusie is dat men op deze manier de “grote” aandeelhouders via de 10% extra dividend bevoordeelt tov de “kleine” belegger op de beurs. Voor de “kleine” belegger wegen de kosten niet op tegen het extra dividend.
